You are always welcome in the Maribo chess club.

Whether you're a beginner or experienced, drop in on club nights (mostly every Wednesday from 7pm) and have a chat or maybe play a bit of chess.

You don't have to bring anything, as we have the necessary material. You don't commit to anything for the first time.We have players of virtually every level, from beginner to master player, so that shouldn't stop you from showing up.

We have a clubhouse at Spejdervænget 4 in Maribo. There is an entrance to the car park from

Sondre Boulevard (between no. 59 and no. 61).

To all children and young people interested in chess and their parents!

We know from inquiries that there are quite a few children and young people in Lolland who would like to play chess.

We also know that it can be difficult to start alone in a chess club as a beginner, as those who have only played there for a few years are usually somewhat stronger.

That is why in Maribo Chess Club we have a department for juniors and any other beginners.

The department is led by Svend Erik Frederiksen, but other of our faithful players are also ready to help.

Together, they will learn a lot of chess, both beginners and experienced players.

The junior and senior training is on Wednesdays from 17:00 to 18:00.

It is combined junior and senior training (rating below 1500).

Manager: Svend Erik Frederiksen, Telephone: 6135 9367, Mail: sax@mail.dk

And how much does it cost? Nothing for the first month or two. If the interest is still there, you must of course be a member of the club. Chess is a fairly cheap sport as it does not require any expensive equipment.

Our quota for juniors under the age of 15 is DKK 500 and between 15-20 years is DKK 600 per year incl. membership of the Danish Chess Union.

In addition, Lolland Municipality has a policy which means that finances must not be an obstacle to children's participation in leisure activities, so if that should be a problem, see here.
